WoW Forever Wiki

World of Warcraft: Forever — known in China as 《魔兽世界》:“无限” — is Blizzard's new standalone World of Warcraft game set in a reimagined original Azeroth, built around the classic 1–60 journey and expanded with modern systems. This wiki collects the official facts today and will grow into full class and leveling guides as the beta data settles.

What Is World of Warcraft: Forever?

Announced at BlizzCon 2026, Forever returns to the original Azeroth — the world before the Burning Crusade — and treats it as a living, long-term world rather than a legacy server. Blizzard positions it alongside Modern and Classic as a third way to play World of Warcraft: the familiar 1–60 journey, rebuilt and continuously expanded. The CN tagline is “回应崭新天地的召唤” — “answer the call of a brand-new world.”

Combat keeps the deliberate, tactical pacing of Classic — solo pulls take roughly 10–15 seconds, crowd control matters, and threat is real — while itemization, talents, and account-wide progression add new decisions on top.

WoW Forever Beta & Launch Dates

Region Date Notes
Global — Beta Beta opens worldwide; first look at live talent data.
China — Beta (国服 Beta) CN beta via the Heavenly Epic pack (天裔史诗礼包) pre-purchase.
Global — Launch World of Warcraft: Forever launches in the Americas, Europe, and Korea.

Dates come from the official announcement and the CN official site; exact hours were not stated consistently (PST/PDT markers differ between paragraphs), so this wiki does not publish a countdown. Re-verify with official channels closer to launch.

The WoW Forever Talent System

Forever keeps the classic talent structure — three trees per class, one point per level from level 10, rows unlocking every 5 points — but the nodes themselves change: a new keystone tier arrives at the 16-point mark alongside the classic 11/21/31 milestones, some 1.12 talents are kept or reworked, and several iconic buffs that used to be talents become baseline abilities.

Start planning in the free talent calculator (all nine classes, shareable builds), or see what changed vs. Classic talent by talent.

The WoW Forever Legacy System (传承系统)

Legacy is Forever's account-wide progression layer: you earn Legacy Points by completing Legacy Challenges, and each character spends them in three non-combat trees — Adventure, Resourcefulness, and Professions. At launch each character can spend up to 16 points, with 65 earnable at the start; points beyond the cap feed a cosmetic reward track. Hardcore keeps its own separate Legacy ecosystem.

World & Systems

Camping (营地)

The Cooking Fire becomes a place to rest: campsites grant one-hour buffs, vendors, repairs, and profession workstations. Every profession can craft camp objects — Blacksmiths place Sharpening Wheels, Tailors raise Faction Banners, Herbalists light Incense Candles.

Professions (专业)

600+ new recipes across all professions and level ranges, crafted food with experience bonuses and stat boosts, and advanced Blueprint recipes that drop from specific dungeon bosses.

Realmless Azeroth (无服务器世界)

No realm list: you pick a ruleset — Normal, PvP, Roleplaying, or Hardcore (after launch) — and group within it. Characters use two-part names unique per region, and factions remain separate.

Transmogrification (幻化)

New to original Azeroth, with an opt-out: players who prefer the untouched look can disable seeing transmog entirely. Dungeon appearances are granted to all eligible looters; epic raid drops keep their prestige.

Combat & Itemization

Spell/melee/ranged hit combine into one stat, as do the three critical chances — a buff for hybrids. New affixes reduce parry/ dodge against you, caster weapons gain spell power, and trinkets get situational environment- and creature-type effects.

Mounts & Riding

Forever adopts the Burning Crusade-style cost model: the up-front mount cost moves into riding training, and learning the skill grants a mount.

The Nine Classes in WoW Forever

Forever launches with the nine classic classes, three talent trees each — plan any of them in the calculator:

Guides — Coming With Beta Data

This wiki is the foundation for the site's guide section. Once the beta client lands on September 17 and the numbers stop moving, each anchor above becomes a full guide hub: leveling paths, per-spec build orders, and Legacy challenge routes. Tools that already work today:

  1. Talent calculator

Plan and share 51-point builds for all nine classes — start here.

  2. Legacy planner

Spread each character's 16 launch Legacy points — plan your spread.

  3. Build compare

Diff two setups point by point — open compare.
